Hello Michael.

Can't tell you about the HPN oil pan.

On my '93 R100GS engine, I have a WÜDO extension ring what goes between the engine and the (original) oilpan.
The snorkel for oil suction is extended by a tube having the same lenght than the thickness of the oilpan. Thus in order to get the oil at the appropriate place (and not to suck in air :-((

WÜDO specifies to add one litre of oil.

The builder of my engine told me to run on the standard oil volume.
But there was a longer dipstick added, the marks for min and max have been lowered by the amount of the thickness of the extension ring.

To my understanding, there should be no major difference between a '86 80G/S and a '93 100GS block.

Would like to bring to your attention that there have been hot debates in the forums about to run on standard oil volume or to add oil compensation for the extended volume in the bigger pan.

Maybe somebody running the HPN configuration is coming up and tell you exactly how to proceed.

Regards,
Christian L.
