Hi Enricone,
this triangle shaped hole is only needed for the older models to ventilate the oilfilled swing arm (steel swing arm) into the gearbox.
Many people (mechanics too) do not know that you have to seal the whole after exchanging the oilgard of paralever models.
I had this problem in 1990 too. The mechanic didn't know about the change.
I had to investigate by myself.
The whole in the screw for the mass cable ventilates the gear box.
