Most comments I've already checked, but, time allowing I'll do some more research during the weekend and be back with comments to all of you!
One thing I deliberatly left out in my original posting: The plugs became black when I replaced the old metalcovered plugcaps for NGK 5 Kohm's dito. Just checked the resistance and they are all 5 KOhms. Any ideas on this?
